We Have Added A New Version of Share This
So we know that some people just sort of stumble upon our site and don't have an account yet. Well we wanted to make it so they could bookmark whatever it was they were reading now and come back later. We decided to add our own version of sharethis so visitors and users could share. We have chosen a few social bookmarking locations that are a little more personal to us and are also personal to our users. And as always we are more than willing to make a change to something different if our users request it. Just use our Feedback forum on GetSatisfaction.com.
Alright, so here is a list of the sites we chose to add to KarmaLynx.com:
First of all we chose Twitter so you could tell your Twitter followers about what you discovered on the site. It just made sense to add this one because our site is about sharing, and twitter makes it easy to share.
Next we added Delicious. The reason for adding Delicious was simple. Some articles and links may not be worth a vote to you, but you may want to keep the information around for later or for a refrence. So they are in.
Next, we added Facebook. We added facebook in for the same reason we added Twitter. Facebook has become a great way to share interesting and wonderful things you find on KarmaLynx.com.
Google Bookmarks was next. Google provides an excellent way to save something for later, and since Google isn't going anywhere it's a great place to keeps things long term.
Our last two social bookmarking or article sharing sites we added are StumbleUpon and technorati. We chose to add these sites because they seem to house a lot of various blog material. We hope that users will contribute excellent blog articles and tutorials on KarmaLynx.com, and if they want to tell other bloggers about the content we figured these two sites would be helpful.

Here is a little history about how the site came about.
This site was literally started out of pure fustration. We have all been there right? Searching the web for what seemed like a simple piece of information with no luck. Page after page of garbage and poor quality content. Even more links to pharmaceutical drugs and day trading schemes. Absolutely nothing I was looking for.
But then it happened! I found exactly what I was looking for. The drawback was the information was spread over 3 websites. Its probably what keeps me coming back to the internet in the first place these days. The absolute high I get when I discover what I need. These days your like a treasure hunter, and when you put the puzzle together you deserve a reward. Sometimes what should take 20 seconds takes 20 minutes.
Then, it dawned on me.I thought, What could I do to help the next person out? and How could I share all three pages at once? I don't have a blog that gets any traffic what so ever so.....KarmaLynx.com was set up.
Now I can take great content when I find it and share it. If i need to write my own rendition I can. It's all in one place and everyone can read the quality content first.

SEO Friendly URLS Have Been Added To KarmaLynx
We have just updated the site with SEO friendly URLS. That means that when you submit content on KarmaLynx, the title that you enter will become part of the URL.
This eliminates the ugly non-SEO-friendly URL's we were spitting out before. Imagine trying to tell someone the address to your article and having it be some string that makes no sense. No thank you-
Now if you write an article on KarmaLynx and decide to share or bookmark it elsewhere it will be optimized for search engines so more people will be able to find your article! We all do our best to select titles that are relevant to our topic so the URL should also give some information about our topic.
Now a great title like "How to Save on Your Taxes" will be part of the URL. Now it will be a standard slug similar to http://www.karmalynx.com/how-to-save-on-your-taxes (By the way, that would be a great topic to write about since I am sure a lot of people would be interested in lowering their tax liability.)
As we get closer to deciding on a launch date for the site, we will be adding a lot of essential stuff like this to make the site better for our users. Once we have weeded out a few more of these content related issues we will be good to go.
